![]() Hinduism > Hinduism ![]() Organization The Scriptures picture the Hindu society as an all-harmonious, where all of the parts function for the good of all. Every one of the social classes plays the part that was assigned to them. The name of this social system is varnashrama. A system of lineage, where individuals participate in acknowledging their birth and qualification for work. For many Hindus the center of religious is the home, they have their own sanctuary where the members of the family can perform their daily worship. The job of the priest is to take care of the “murtis” of the temple and venerate them. They conduct prayers, and sing to call on the presence of the divinity and act as intermediaries between the divinities and the devout. |
